A Toolset for Supporting Continuous Decision Making Case: Grade Change Optimization

Tools to manage this complexity under dynamic conditions are needed. The dynamic optimization integrated to operator and engineer decision support has a high potential in everyday use. As a result of an EU Commission funded research project a toolset for supporting continuous decision making has been developed. This paper presents a case study, where this toolset is used to reduce grade change time on a paper machine. Copyright © 2005 IFAC
